First Look at Megalyn Echikunwoke as Vixen on Arrow

Last month it was confirmed that Megalyn Echikunwoke wold be reprising the role of Vixen on Arrow, which she voiced in the CW Seed series, in live action for an upcoming episode of Arrow. Now, DC Entertainment has revealed a first look at Echikunwoke in her Vixen outfit!

 

A street smart model who inherits a mysterious family heirloom that grants her the powers of the animal kingdom, Mari will appear in episode 15 of Arrow, which is entitled “Taken.”

“We’re not only thrilled to be further expanding our DC television universe by bringing in the live-action incarnation of the CW Seed hit, Vixen, we’re immensely excited that Megalyn will be revisiting her role as Mari McCabe,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim previously said.

Created by Gerry Conway and Bob Oksner in 1981, Vixen first appeared in Action Comics #521 complete with her animal mimicking abilities. The character has gone on to be a member of the Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey, and even the Justice League of America. You can watch all six episodes of Vixen by clicking here and check back later this year for even more episode of the series, which has been renewed for a second season.

Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, Katie Cassidy as Dinah “Laurel” Lance, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, John Barrowman as Malcom Merlyn, with Paul Blackthorne as Detective Lance. The series is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter.
